Pregnancy and related conditions

·¬ÇÑÊÓÆµ is committed to creating an accessible learning environment for students experiencing pregnancy and related conditions in compliance with Title IX.  Reasonable modifications may be developed on a case by case basis when the need arises. Such adjustments based on pregnancy, childbirth, or lactation related needs may include:

  • Breaks during class
  • Accessing time and space for lactation on campus 
  • Clinical modifications 
  • Scheduling support 
  • Access to elevators or addressing other mobility needs
  • Adjustments to deadlines 
  • Recognized absences
  • Make-up exam support  
  • Temporary accessible parking pass

To request reasonable modifications related to pregnancy

Please complete the    Reasonable modifications are determined on a case-by-case basis by the Director of Accessibility Services / Title IX Coordinator, based on a student's individual needs and are determined in consultation with the student. Both day campus and online students may request reasonable modifications by using the form above. 

To support accessible parking needs, ·¬ÇÑÊÓÆµ Safety & Security offers temporary handicap parking passes for those who require parking accommodations. To obtain a pass, please visit the Safety & Security office in Peabody 106 with your vehicle information. Passes must be displayed in the vehicle’s windshield while in use and are valid on campus only.

Leaves of absence are an option available to students who require significant time away from academics on a temporary basis.  Coordinated support may be provided in these situations through the Title IX Coordinator and Dean of Student Success in students information, support, options, and choices in navigating their academic journey.
