Cyr Opportunity Scholarship
To be eligible, the student must be a resident of Penobscot County, Maine or attend a high school in Penobscot County and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Family Adjusted Gross Income must be $80,000 or less to qualify. First-year, first-time students must carry a full-time courseload and must be campus-based. The scholarship amount will vary. Greenfield Opportunity Scholarship
To be eligible, the student must be a resident of Piscataquis County, Maine or attend a high school in Piscataquis County and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Family Adjusted Gross Income must be $80,000 or less to qualify. First-year, first-time students must carry a full-time courseload and must be campus-based. The scholarship amount will vary. For Continuing Students

The Scholar Incentive Award
Awarded based on academic performance. Full time undergraduate students that have completed 30 credits at 番茄视频 will be considered for this academic scholarship. Those that have attained a semester grade point average of 3.4 or better will receive a $300 scholarship and those who have attained a 3.6 or better will receive a $400 scholarship to be applied the following semester. The student must be enrolled as a full time student (12 or more credits) in the semester the scholarship is to be applied. GPA's will be reviewed and awards will be received during the Fall & Spring semesters only. Payment of this award is applied toward tuition in the subsequent regular semester of enrollment.

Awarded based on calculated financial need. Must be enrolled as a full-time day student to be considered.

Awarded based on calculated financial need. Must be enrolled as a full-time day student to be considered.

On-campus Residential Scholarship
Awarded to students living in on-campus housing and who have financial need. Must be enrolled as a full-time day student to be considered.

Transfer Scholarship 
$3,000 ($1,500/per semester)

Qualifying incoming transfer students will receive one of the above listed scholarships, dependent upon their earned GPA. Students must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours. This scholarship is applicable to day-division enrollment in undergraduate programs of study and is stackable with the Maine Community College and PTK Scholarships. 

Maine Community College Award
$8,000  ($2,000 annually for up to 4 years)

Your Associate's Degree from a Maine Community College now guarantees you $2,000 per year. To qualify, students must matriculate immediately following completion of their two-year college degree.  (Not available to students completing an Associate's degree in an early college program)

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship 
$1,500

番茄视频 is proud to offer an additional $1,500 to students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa at their community college and carry a 3.0 GPA or higher from all institutions previously attended. To be eligible, students must matriculate immediately following completion of their two-year college degree. 

President's Global Scholarship 
$4,000 - $40,000

International Scholarship with a minimum of $1,000-$10,000 per year, based on merit. The student must provide proof of financial responsibility and be eligible for an F-1 student visa for consideration.

$5,600 ($1,400 annually for up to 4 years)

Harold Alfond Technology Grant

$8,000 ($2,000 annually for up to 4 years while in the Extended Reality Program)

Transfer Academic Scholarship
$4,000 - $12,000  ($1,000 - $3,000 annually for up to 4 years)

The Competitive Skills Scholarship helps workers learn new skills and Maine businesses access a qualified workforce to succeed in the changing economy. The program is open to eligible Maine residents with access to post-secondary education, including certificate programs and two year and four year degrees.

Eligibility Requirements

• Maine resident
• At least 18 years old
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Seeking education or training for a job in a high wage, in demand occupation
• No marketable post-secondary degree
• Household 
• Ability to undertake and complete the education or training program

How to Apply

Applications for CSSP are accepted at  either during a Statewide open application period or as openings occur in specific counties. The number of new CSSP applicants accepted into the program is based on available funding, and allocated by county.

What is considered a high-wage, in demand occupation?

The Department of Labor developed a  considered high-wage, in demand occupations. These jobs have an average wage at or above the average wage for all occupations in Maine, and they are projected to have a minimum number of job openings annually.

I was not the best student in high school. Can I still qualify?

Yes. You can still qualify even if you did not have the best grades in school. You may be tested to see if you are able to successfully take part in the training program.

How can the money be used?

The Competitive Skills Scholarship pays for tuition and fees that are not paid from other sources, including federal financial aid. The grant may also pay for other supports while you are in training including: childcare, transportation, books, supplies, equipment, and remedial and prerequisite training.

How much can I expect to receive?

If you are eligible, you can receive up to $6,000 per year for a full-time student, and $3,000 per year for a part-time student. You can qualify for a grant each year you remain in your training program.

Do I have to pay it back?

The Competitive Skills Scholarship is a grant, not a loan. It does not have to be paid back at the completion of the program.

The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship is a grant program that enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, thereby gaining skills critical to our national security and economic competitiveness. A Gilman Scholarship enables American undergraduate students to gained proficiency in diverse languages and cultures, skills that are critically important to their academic and career development. The program seeks to assist students from a diverse range of public and private institutions from all 50 states, Washington, DC, and Puerto Rico.

Awards

Award amounts will vary depending on the length of study and student need. Applicants who are studying a critical need language while abroad in a country in which the language is predominantly spoken will automatically be considered for the Critical Need Language Award, for a total award of $8,000. This award is competitive and offered to a limited number of students each year. 

Award recipients are chosen by a competitive selection process and must use the award to defray eligible study or intern abroad costs. These costs include program tuition, room and board, books, local transportation, insurance, international airfare, passport and visa fees.

Eligibility Requirements

• Be a citizen of the United States
• Be an undergraduate student in good standing at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States (including both two-year and four-year institutions)
• Be receiving a Federal Pell Grant or provide proof that they will be receiving a Pell Grant during the term of their study abroad program
• Be in the process of applying to, or accepted for a study abroad program for at least two weeks for community college students, and four weeks for students from four-year institutions
• Be proposing to study in a country not currently under a  issued by the United States Department of State
