Biography
Jennifer Bochynski, PT, DPT, EdD is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at ·¬ÇÑÊÓÆµ. Dr. Bochynski earned her Doctor of Education in Health Professions Education from A.T. Still University in 2025 and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University at Buffalo. She is a licensed physical therapist in Maine and holds multiple advanced certifications, including Board-Certified Clinical Specialist designations in both Geriatric and Oncologic Physical Therapy, as well as certifications in wound care, lymphedema management, ergonomics, and clinical instruction.
Prior to joining ·¬ÇÑÊÓÆµ, Dr. Bochynski practiced as a clinical specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where she developed expertise in oncology rehabilitation. She continues to practice clinically in acute care at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bangor, Maine.
Her teaching focuses on cardiopulmonary, integumentary, geriatrics, and medically complex patient management, with an emphasis on active learning, simulation, and integration of real-world clinical reasoning. Dr. Bochynski is particularly interested in leveraging artificial intelligence and simulation technologies to enhance student learning and professional development.
Dr. Bochynski’s scholarly work centers on oncology education, artificial intelligence in physical therapy education, and innovative teaching strategies. She has presented her work at national and international conferences, including the APTA Combined Sections Meeting and the International Meeting on Simulation in Healthcare, and is actively engaged in ongoing research exploring faculty perspectives on oncology education and student learning outcomes.
She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association, contributing to multiple specialty sections including oncology, geriatrics, cardiovascular and pulmonary, and education. In addition to her academic and clinical roles, she is committed to community engagement through initiatives such as health screenings and other service activities.
